Do YOU have a Rat Problem?

Just a quick post to show you somebody who does…

And you DEFINITELY don’t wish you had a problem like this:

The rat, which weighed six pounds and had a 12-inch tail, was caught at the weekend in a residential area of Fuzhou, a city of six million people on China’s south coast.

Take a look at the photo!

Giant Bamboo Rat

All bamboo rats are slow-moving and usually spend their time in underground burrows, feeding on bamboo. Chinese bamboo rats are often sold for meat in Chinese markets. The largest rats in the world are thought to be African giant pouched rats, which can grow up to 36 inches in length.

DEFINITELY not something I’d like to find in my roof! 🙂

  1. I had a rat problem and called the exterminators.First thing make sure that you dont have trees bordering on your house as that is the way they get into your roof. And the exterminators sprayed something in the roof and assured me that they wouldnt die in the roof as it makes them thirsty and they come out for water. Also within 4 days they should all be dead. The thing is this did happen but only with the smaller rats. The bigger ones had more resistance and took longer to die and the one did die in my roof and I had to call them out again which they did promptly and removed this big rat and dumped him in my dustbin in a plastic bag on a wednesday and the garbage truck only came again on tuesday.Nightmare smell!!!!

  2. I had a rat problem for a couple of months.Tried that electric thingie they advertise on TV saying it generates sound that kills bugs. Didn’t work. Then my helper got me poison, which we put in strateguc places. the following night, we found two dead, with the rest following soon after. By the end of the week, they were all dead. And Ja, the smell of the ones that died in hidden places, and whose carcasses we had to hunt down:gross!
